NICOLA
FURMSTON qualified as a lawyer whilst working in
London and has practised in the field of family law for
fifteen years, the last five of which have been spent in
Suffolk. Nicola is an expert in resolving all family and
couple issues that arise on the breakdown of a relationship,
be it on divorce or where cohabiting couples are separating,
including financial and children issues and is able to offer
both a traditional court based approach to resolving matters
or an alternative approach known as collaborative law, in
which couples discuss and resolve all issues with the help
of their lawyers during face-to-face meetings. Nicola's
approach is to give robust, practical advice, enabling her
clients to preserve as much wealth as possible, whilst bearing
in mind the need to minimise the negative emotional consequence
of relationship breakdown and preserve lines of communication,
particularly for parents, to enable them to work together
for the benefit of their children in future.
Nicola is also able to advise on pre-nuptial agreements
and financial planning to avoid the worst consequences of
divorce. She is a qualified mediator.
